Thailand Travel Tips

Of all the places and countries in South East Asia, Thailand is the most popular place to go. Tourists have been coming and going to this place but still many are planning to go back. Thailand’s tourism has been throbbing that somehow some bad images has tainted the beautiful paradise.

Thailand has a lot of great beaches, mountains, forests and temples. Because it is near other countries like Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar; Thailand has a mix of cultures, faces and tradition. The people of Thailand are said to have come mostly from the Szechuan Province of China. Buddhism is the main religion of the Thai people and temples can be found just about anywhere.

There are a lot of things to do in this beautiful country. One’s budget is not really an issue since Thailand is of a middle income economy. Tourism is said to be its main source of income so expect hotel prices and amenities to vary. Everyone is guaranteed to have a good time regardless of ones budget as long as they know where to go. There are a lot of social networking groups and websites which can help you plan your travels. These can certainly help you with where to go, what to do and what to avoid.

Thailand is a tropical country and will usually only have either a sunny or rainy weather. There has been a long going joke however, that Thailand only has three seasons: hot, hotter and hottest and because of this you should never forget to bring some sunblock and plenty of fluids with you. Of course getting a tan would be great but don’t forget the damage brought by the sun. The damage is usually called premature aging.

It is usually common for travelers to be scammed and Thailand is no exception. Their very famous scam artists are the tuk-tuk drivers. Try to know the many versions and faces of these so called scams by doing research online. Learn a few Thai words and befriend your friendly local neighbor. Asking for their help is by far the safest way to go around the country. Remember that it is better to be safe than be a sorry broke traveler.

How to travel on a budget

Traveling could be one of the many hobbies if not dream of every human being. Like who wouldn’t want to go to places they’ve seen on TV or heard through the mouths of their friends and loved ones? Who wouldn’t want to go see a place with their own eyes; a place so elaborately described in a best-selling book, or that found and felt in poetry or that place captured in a picture in a magazine?

Yes, everybody would want to travel. Everyone would want that experience of being in a different place and live a different life. Anybody would want to go somewhere but the one thing that would always hinder someone from doing so is their budget. Ah money, just why are you so elusive?

Unknown to almost everybody, one can still travel even on a tight budget. It all just comes to the right planning. You might not be able to go to your dream country or experience the lifestyle of the rich and famous but you can still very well be able to go visit a beautiful place.

There are lots of airlines that give promos and cheap airfares to their consumers. Knowing how to get them isn’t that hard. Social networking has given businesses their own business page and some offer services that will send updates to your emails or your inbox if you subscribe to them. Hotels and inns also give discounts and privileges especially on the days where traveling isn’t at its peak.

Traveling by numbers is also a great way to save money. Try to ask your friends, workmates or family if they’d want to go with you. This could very well save you a lot of money too. Traveling agencies and tour businesses also offer great value packages you can avail. Try to check your yellow pages or surf online and try find some great deals.

By far the cheapest way to travel is still through finding a friend or family who will be kind enough to offer you a place to stay and even free food. Maybe being nice and maintaining contact with everybody wouldn’t be such a bad idea. Who knows that they are the ticket for you to finally get to visit that place you’ve been longing to see.

FB or FACEBOOK?

I don't get why people (well Filipinos for that matter or maybe just Cagayanons) say FB /ef-bi/ when it has the same syllables with saying "facebook".

Unless they're typing it to save on space or energy, I don't really find any sense to it. Same kinda goes with friendster being now called /ef-es/ and I guess only because people say /ef-bi/ a lot.

I kinda find it baduy (lol! sorry) but I guess it's another way to classify people like say a demographic or like a personal caste.

So which are you? Do you say FB or do you say facebook?

Looking forward for twitter to be fully used by people and I'm crossing my fingers. I wouldn't wanna hear people say "Hey! What's your T-W-T-R?"
